The final Star-Party 3th May 2008

On Saturday 3th May 2008 the final Star-Party will take place in Zagreb. The party signifies the end of the project "The Sky As a Gift" 2007/08. 

The Final Star-Party signifies the end of the project "The Sky As a Gift 2007/08"and it is organized as a final gathering of all participants: all students with their teachers and the members of the project team.  The guest scientists are invited to give lectures on several currently popular scientific topics. At the end of the day the best individuals and groups will be awarded with telescopes.  Afterwards everybody is invited to observe the sky with the telescopes in the school's botanical garden.

Scientific expedition in astronomical observatory in Wendelstein

Wendelstein, German Alps.

Students Ilijan Kotarac and Tonka Buriæ after taking part on the international competition "Catch a star", that they were invited to by astrophysicist A. Seifahrt (ESO), went in the second half of July 2006 on their first scientific expedition. For four nights they had a chance to use professional scientific equipment 0.8m telescopes and to record galaxies. The aim of this scientific expedition was to analyze the birth of star galaxy NGS 4736. The results analysis is to be acknowledged.
