Students who participated in the project "The Sky as a Gift in 2007/08" submitted reports "4-nights" and gave back borrowed telescopes by April 1 2008. Our committee will examine all reports and based on them will select the best individuals and group. During final award ceremony (Star Party 2008) on May 13rd, 2008 in Zagreb, best students and a group will be awarded with a telescope! more--> "Star-Party-2008" |

CHILDREN MEET THE WAYS OF SCIENTIFIC REASONING THROUGH ASTRONOMY
”The Sky As a Gift” is an educational project that enables students of primary schools in Croatia to meet the ways of scientific reasoning (methods) through astronomy.
The project is organized by non-governmental organization “znanost.org” and by “Physical Society Split”.
By the end of 2007 we have started our fourth school-year of borrowing telescopes to schools and enabling children to see planets, stars and other bright night objects. This year (2007/08)there are 40 astronomy groups (primary school level) from all around Croatia.
Schools that are engaged in the project were borrowed small research telescopes free of charge. Using these telescopes children and their teachers are able to fulfill all the tasks assigned in the field of astronomy.
